The Farmers and Merchants Bank Invests in the Community

For over one hundred years now, The Farmers and Merchants Bank has been recognized as a cornerstone and a leading financial partner in the community. Located on the Square in the Caldwell Business District, the bank has occupied the same building; adapting it for their changing needs and their growth over the years.

From the time the bank was first organized in 1912, it has remained independently owned and operated. As a result, all banking decisions have been made at home and will continue to be made here. At The Farmers and Merchants, the Directors, Officers and Employees listen, explain, support and show a genuine concern for the welfare of their customers and their community. Like you, they live here too and they fully understand the daily events that affect Noble County.

This is exactly why the folks at The Farmers and Merchants view 'business' as people…neighbors they are proud to serve. It is out of this commitment you will find F& M people holding a variety of civic and social positions throughout Noble County. From a church treasurer to a Noble County Chamber of Commerce Director, members of The Farmers and Merchants Bank have always responded to a variety of community needs by volunteering their time and their skills. From employee participation in the Firemen's Festival and Christmas parades, Historical Society events, and area youngsters athletic teams…The Farmers and Merchants Bank is involved.

Over the past one hundred years, the bank has generously donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to the community. Throughout the years, the bank has supported numerous area causes and events helping them reach their goals and fulfill their needs. Several years ago the bank employees got more involved and they formed an Employee Fund Raiser Committee. Each year the committee chooses the group or "cause" they are working for and hold fund raising events throughout the year. Then they donate all the proceeds to that year's designated group. The Employee Fund Raiser Committee has generously donated to help the area sporting programs, Relay for Life, the Happy Time Pool, area Volunteer Fire Departments, etc.
