The Farmers and Merchants Bank, 1964
For over a century, The Farmers and Merchants Bank has been recognized as a leading financial partner and cornerstone in the community. The Bank has occupied the same building, located on the Square in Caldwell, adapting it to changing needs and growth over the years.
From the time the Bank was founded in 1912, it has remained independently owned and operated. As a result, all banking decisions have been made at home and will continue to be made here. At The Farmers and Merchants Bank the Directors, Officers, and Employees listen, explain, support, and show a genuine concern for the welfare of their customers and the community.

The Farmers and Merchants Bank employees participate in a parade
The folks at The Farmers and Merchants Bank view ‘business’ as people… neighbors they are proud to serve. It is out of this commitment that you will find our employees proudly serving our community. Our team has always responded to community needs by volunteering their time and skills. From community events and parades, donations to school events and sports, The Farmers and Merchants Bank is there.
The Bank has generously donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to the community, helping local causes and events reach their goals and fulfill their needs. In addition to the Bank’s generosity our team has formed an Employee Fundraising Committee that chooses local groups and organizations each year to raise funds for. Some of the recent donations were given to Christmas for Kids, The Wall That Heals Veteran’s Memorial, Summit Acres Nursing Home residents, and Small Town Big Dreams.
